Some awsome facts on The Liffey- one of the touring companies from Riverdance- The Show. ~The Liffey Company has 102 company members who come from Canada, Spain, Germany, Australi, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, USA, Russia, England, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. ~The Show takes over 23 hours to set up ~There are 45 touring crew and 64 local crew in every city ~11 trucks and 4 coach buses are used on tour Different departments within the Liffey Company are: *Production *Company Management *Accounts *Logistics *Stage Management *Wardrobe *Projection *Sound *lighting *Rigging *Carpenters *Backline *Props *Phisotherapy *message *Merchandising Some of the items on tour are 6 washing machines, 5 tumble dryers, while the wardrobe department tour 8 irons, 4 steamers and 2 sewing machines! In the 17 weeks of the first leg of 2001 tour... ~The Liffey Company Visited 15 cities and 9 Countries ~Used 11,900 Hotel Bed nights ~The trucks and buses travlled a total 6500 miles ~the longest bus trip was 15 hours (barcelona to Libon) ~The wardrobe department used 2000 saftey pins and the dancers went through 300 pairs of tights ~1360 rolls of gaffer tape were used ~ The company consumed 9500 cans of spots drinks , 20,000 litres of waterand used 50,000 plastic cups! ~They also used 15000 tea bags!
