Pour 1 litre (or 1 quart) boiling water over 5 good quality 2 cup orange pekoe tea bags (Red Rose, Tetley, PG Tips recommended), in a large teapot.
Steep 10 mins, remover tea bags without squeezing (squeezing makes the tea bitter).
Once the tea has cooled pour into a 2 litre (2 quart) jug, add1/2 cup lemon juice (fresh preferable, bottled is ok) and 1 cup of sugar.
Stir till sugar is dissolved, add 3/4 of a litre (3/4 quart) water, and fill the jug the rest of the way up with ice, garnish with lemon slices.
*Serve poured over a glass full of ice.
