A Dedication for Daddy My Hero

The Chosin Few

THE TIME HAS COME,
LET US RE-KINDLE ANEW,
THAT WE BAND OF BROTHERS,
ARE THE CHOSIN FEW.
WE EARNED OUR NAME FOREVER MORE,
AT THAT FROZEN KOREAN RESERVOIR
I STILL CAN FEEL THE BITTER COLD,
AND THE MEMORY OF LOSING FRIENDS,
THIS HEARTACHE WE FEEL TODAY,
JUST NEVER, EVER ENDS.
FROM YUDAM-NI, AND TOKTONG PASS,
THEN HAGARU AND KOTO-RI,
WE FOUGHT OUR WAY TO FREEDOM,
TO HUNGNAM AND THE SEA.
AND NOW, WE SOLEMNLY HONOR,
OUR BROTHERS WHO HAVE DIED,
WE SHARE NOT ONLY THEIR MEMORY,
BUT REMEMBER THEM WITH PRIDE.
SO, STAND TALL MARINE,
AND RAISE YOUR GLASS,
LET US OFFER UP THIS TOAST:
"TO YOU WHO HAVE GONE BEFORE US, SOME WE NEVER KNEW, YET, WE ARE ONE, WE ARE BROTHERS, FOR WE ARE THE CHOSIN FEW".

They are all my heroes, each and everyone one of them, and they need to find each other, to remember and to forget:

Why isn't there a memorial for these heroes?

Between June 1950 and July 1953, 4,617 Marines and 107 Navy Corpsmen gave their lives during the Korean War. The war stemmed naked aggression and was fought for freedom and honor. The USMC Wall: http://www.parafame.org/marine_corps_wall.htm

I personally would like to thank Ed Miller for being there when Daddy needed him the most Thank you 1
