This is the destination for sensations such as touch, pressure, pain, the perception of vibration and muscle and joint location.
Dysfunction
Individuals who suffer from dystonia are unable to process repetitive  input to the skin, muscles, or joints, causing the brain to "turn off" resulting in involuntary twitching and abnormal postures.
