Mr Long is a bastard
I have had a recent encounter with the so-called powers that be (i.e. Mr Morris) over an essay that I wrote under test conditions in one of Mr Long’s lessons. I basically got bored and after writing the first section I decided to take a different tack and incorporate some humour into my essay (
shown below with the bits Mr long didn’t like highlighted with a red line on the side).
Here is the offending essay (sorry if you can’t read my hand writing):
Title goes something like: with reference to the Lake District, outline the nature of conflicts + possible Solutions that have arisen in recent years.

Having written this essay I handed it in and forgot about it, until a couple of months or so later when Mr Long eventually got around to marking them. Then I was randomly called into Mr Morris’ office where he presented the essay to me. I was significantly more pissed about the fact Mr Long had sent the essay to Morris, than I was intimidated by Morris (there is only so much you can be intimidated by a giant baby). My first response was "what about it", which on reflection wasn’t the best way to make him super happy, but I proceeded to defend the essay and the way in which it was written. I didn’t even accept I was taking the piss. He told me Mr Long was offended so I offered to apologise to him, which may have stolen his thunder slightly so it ended there, or so I thought.
I went to apologise to his twatishness, this however did not go well and at the end Mr Prattface said he was angrier than he was before hand. I basically apologised for offending him and when he made me read through the essay I explained why I did it and defended it. He had no answer for my defence other than to ask what my parents would say about it, to which I replied that they had nothing to do with it and asked if that was supposed to be a threat. Enough of the boring details, it ended that I couldn’t come to his lessons until I apologised properly, a very tempting offer I know. He obviously ran to Mr Morris again like a little school child "Sir, Sir Nasty Ian Robertson wont play the suck up to me game, waaahh waaahh" and so forth. So Morris called me into his office again, before he had a chance to say anything I explained the whole thing and said I would apologise to him in writing (as I knew I would just end up insulting him again otherwise). So I wrote the letter of apology, which I did with a heavy and angry heart and hopefully that is the end of it.
If you are still reading, thank you. The details aren’t really important but the sum of it is the whole farce has made me even more angry at the school than I was before. The pettiness of the two members of staff involved shocks me, if you read the essay you can see it is harmless, it insults the right wing a fair amount, which is probably why they made an issue of it. If I had insulted the liberals they would probably have given me a medal. It seems that Mr long has an extremely unprofessional grudge against me simply because I don’t just accept everything he teaches us at face value and am prepared to argue something out if I believe it not to be the case, which I think I have proved through all of this.
