By staying at the camp, you are subjected to extremely harsh conditions and intense hunger. There are many people in the camp and not a lot of food, so your rations are quite small. Also, because of the tight quarters, when one person gets sick it spreads like wildfire throughout the camp. You eventually end up catching the flu, which turns into pneumonia, and you pass out one day while working. Your lack of nutrition and your vulnerable immune system leads to your imminent death.
