| You arrive at the Royal Free Hospital and stay there for many days. You have discovered, however, that you were paralysed because when your dugout was blasted in, a piece of the rock cieling had hit your back causing unrepairable damage. So you stay in the hospital for a few more weeks, and are eventually sent back home to England to be with your family because a person in a wheelchair is no use on the battlefield. Even though you have gone home and oyu are happy to be finally at home, the memories and the pain that you went through during your time in war will never be forgotten. And your wheelchair is a constant reminder of that fateful Friday the 13th. |
