Once the clock strikes midnight, you and your comrade attempt the escape plan. You leave most of your possessions behind, and without making a sound you creep out of your small hut to meet your friend. You both slowly cross the camp unseen and you start to feel that this plan is going to work; however just as you're rounding the last hut in the camp, your partner trips on a large pot hole in the ground and makes a huge clatter when he bumps and falls into the hut beside you. You both instantly go silent, but you hear the German soldiers in the sentry gate yelling out in German "Hey, someone is escaping!". All of a sudden, you hear gun blasts everywhere and you and your comrade make a run for it. But there are just so many German sentries on duty that you are both eventually shot down and killed on the spot.
