History
Moroz Ukrainian Dance Ensemble was formed in autumn of 2006. Eight dancers, fueled by their unextinguishable passion, set out to share the artistry, strength, and culture that is Ukrainian dance.
Comprised of talented dancers from across the province, the group sets themselves apart from other ensembles with intricate choreography created entirely by the members themselves, as well as precise technique and contagious energy and presentation.
The ensemble burst onto the dance scene with performances in January 2007. Traveling the province, the group entertained audiences in North Battleford and Lloydminster. Later in the month, Moroz danced at home at the Boyan Malanka in Saskatoon. In April, the ensemble performed at the Ukrainian Museum of Canada's Medieval Feast. The month of May brought weddings performances, and Vesna Festival. Most recently, the ensemble performed at Ukraine Day in the Park, an August celebration in Saskatoon.
