Slave Dances

"To be sure, many of the dances of female slaves are lovely and sensuous; others, of course, are piteous and orgasmic. In all fairness, though, one must note there is some variation from city to city. The institution of female slavery on Gor is doubtless thousands of years old; accordingly it is natural that there should be great complexity and refinement in such a delicious art from as slave dance. There are even, it might be mentioned, hate dances and rebellion dances, or need dances, or love and submission dances; even the hate and rebellion dances, of course, conclude, inevitably, with the ultimate surrender of the girl to her master as a love slave."
John Norman, Fighting Slave of Gor, pp. 288-299

"Dancing is the loftiest, the most moving, the most beautiful of the arts, because it is no mere translation or abstraction from life; it is life itself."
Havelock Ellis, The Dance of Life, 1923

Before arani became a slave, she had always been a very modest person. It was difficult for her to conquer this natural modesty when she learned to do an on-line serve in the Gorean fashion (even if it was on-line rather than off). But, because it was what her Master wanted, she learned to serve, and to enjoy it. she developed a style of serving in an erotic or sensual way, without being overtly or explicitly sexual.

Then, one day, her first Master took her to a room where a slave was performing a pole dance. As arani watched this other slave, wide-eyed, her Master told arani that she was to learn to dance like that. At first, this girl was appalled. How could she behave in such a manner, gyrating her body and rubbing her most private parts onto an object like that, even if it was in a chat room and not in "real life?" she had been conditioned to believe that stripping in public like that was something that was severely frowned upon by society. she begged her Master not to make her do such a thing, but He persisted. He wanted her to learn to do a slave dance. So, she swallowed her modesty (and her pride) and set out to do just that. Her first effort was the sword dance that is found elsewhere in this site.

arani's Master was pleased with her dance, and that pleasure filled this slave's heart with joy. she found that, once she threw off her initial qualms, she loved to dance. Dancing allowed her to express her innermost desires and sexuality in a way she could never do in the real world. arani began to work harder and harder on her dancing, and her second Master became proud to order her to dance for His tavern patrons.

But, there was another reason why arani grew to love constructing and performing slave dances on line. In the real world, arani cannot dance. In the real world, arani wears a brace on her knee and walks with a cane. However, when she goes into a Gorean chat room and types out a dance, she can use her imagination and see herself floating around the room, free and without any physical limitations. she can kneel before a strong Man without having to be helped to her feet again, and without feeling pain. she can let her mind soar, and her body will follow.

arani has included here some basic instruction in how to construct a dance in the Gorean fashion. she has also put down examples of dances that she wrote, during the time that she was active in on-line Gor. she hopes that others will be inspired to learn this art form (for that is what it truly is), and will learn the joy of dancing with your heart and your fingers.
