About the Presenter:- Dr Daphné Harber (aka Usha) is the principal of Bella Bellydance School at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. 
One of her specialties in dance is American Tribal Style (ATS).  Daphné is a strong advocate of the integrity of ATS as presented by Carolena Nericcio, Director of Fat Chance BellyDance in San Francisco. For over 7 years, Daphné has workshopped extensively with the best in Tribal dance, to develop the strength and dance elements that define and separate ATS from many other group styles currently taught.
Daphne teaches and performs Middle Eastern and Tribal dance regularly and is a trained educator.
About the Workshop:-
In this one day workshop, she will focus on fast and slow moves, posture, flamenco flavour, fabulous technique, transitions, cues, and improvisational choreography. 
Learn to work collectively with other members of a group, work as a duo, and within a chorus.
Daphné's students have commented that understanding sound basics of ATS assists them
develop skills in following structured choreographies in other styles of dance.
This workshop is suitable for all dancers including those with Tribal dance experience.  This is a great opportunity to fine up on strong technique, and authentic ATS dance.  Daphné and one of her experienced dancers will demonstrate technique and moves.

WHAT TO BRING:- WEAR:- Dance pants or similar, to allow easier observation of leg movements, and development of technique.  Please - no coin belts.  Hip scarf with fringing is fine.
BRING:- A full skirt (Tribal tiered skirt if you have one). Notepad and pen.
Personal needs - water etc., Consider bringing dance shoes/slippers to cushion foot turns.
