ABOUT CLASSES

Helene runs her classes in Maryborough at the St. Stephen's Parish Hall, Sussex Street, Maryborough from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Monday nights are performance training classes where dances are learnt and elements of performance technique are taught. There is no pressure to perform in any of Helene's classes, so classes are also held on Thursday nights. 
These classes are for all levels of ability and Egyptian technique, moves and step combinations are taught in a fun collaborative way.

As well, Helene regularly runs introductory classes in Belly-dance for
absolute beginners and this way people can try the dance form and learn all the basic moves and steps.

Helene brings other skilled Middle Eastern Dance teachers to the area with regular workshops so students can broaden their skills and Helene will
conduct workshops and classes herself away from Maryborough if required.

The Havena Belly-dancers are a wonderful group of women and children who support each other in their dance and many have made firm friendships over the years.

PERFORMANCE INFORMATION

The Havena Dancers are very popular all over the area regularly performing at Festivals, charity events, school fetes, private functions, weddings,
restaurants and the Brisbane based "Extravaganza" - an annual Middle
Eastern Dance spectacular. They have performed at this event since 2000.

They often have concerts and Haflas (Middle Eastern Dance Parties) where many dancers get together and share their craft. 
The Havena Belly dance troupe have regular bookings with satisfied
customers who know they will always receive a high standard of
performance with professionalism and authenticity.

Dancers are also available for solo or duet bookings and can adapt their
performances to suit street style, stage, restaurant and party bookings.

The aim of the Havena Bellydance is to principally have lots of fun,
but also to raise public awareness of the beauty and benefits of this beautiful dance form and get it out into the public.
