I am delighted to announce that the wonderful Shamira will be back for her Queensland workshop series 13th, 14th and 15th March 2009
Venue:- Tiaro Memorial Hall, (Air-conditioned)
Bruce Highway, Tiaro.

Shamira will bring us Modern Egyptian style with a choreography and the beautiful Khaleegy style right from the heart of Saudi Arabia.

Those who are modest about exposing their bodies will love this simple dance style as you wear a "Thobe", a fully covered, beautifully adorned caftan.

We are so lucky to have Shamira right here in Maryborough. She has been a mentor teacher of mine for the past nine years.
It will be a full weekend packed with great information and technique from one of the best teachers Australia has to offer.

On Friday night there will be a LECTURE - THE BUSINESS OF BELLYDANCE.
Saturday:-
MODERN EGYPTIAN TECHNIQUE AND CHOREOGRAPHY
Sunday:- KHALEEGY- TECHNIQUE AND CHOREOGRAPHY

Accommodation:-
My place is ten minutes from the venue and I am happy to offer accommodation. My dance students are also happy to welcome you into their homes for the weekend.

SHAMIRA - Shamira has been performing and teaching throughout Australia and overseas since 1986. She regularly conducts workshops for various belly dance schools in city and country locations, and introduces belly dance to groups of women throughout South Australia via workshops run by  County Arts SA.
As the belly dance tutor at the WEA since 1990 - and at times for TAFE -  Shamira has a strong background of teaching adults of various abilities, and is enthusiastic about imparting her knowledge to others.
In 2005 she has been sponsored to travel to Wellington, New Zealand, Canberra, Albury, Hobart and to Queensland where she does regular workshops for " Oriental Dance Australia".
She also teaches and preforms at the Sydney Festival every year.
Despite her busy schedule, she also travels to the middle east frequently to work with some of Egypt's finest teachers.
