| Basic Steps |
| Most explanations of different steps can be found in my dictionary but for some more in depth explanations and other steps that will help you get started here they are in dance terms (i spelled them out like they sound so its easier): *shuffle-brush ft(toe mostly) front, brush ft back *ball change-go up on ball of ft (like below toes), then step on other ft *padda berre- back side front with ft *sashe- step ball-change out wider (its a moving step) **Hop- don tchange feet ... jump-change feet *f lap- toe-brush, down *push turn-step one ft fwd , go up on toes and turn to face back (or opposite direction u were facing) *3 step turn- step 1st ft out to side, 2nd out to same side to face back, 3rd step is the same way to face front ---side, back , front *knee pop-roll ft up onto toes so knee bends *grape vine-ft go :side, back, side, front , side *1/2 grape vine- side, front, side *scissor-side, front, side, heel--fast *twinkle- grapevine(1 in each direction), 1/2 grape vine(1 in each direction) and scissor (2 in each direction) *peurawet- turn on toe of one ft *monkey-step ft 1 out, ballchange ft 2 in front, step ft 2 out to side, ball change ft 1 in front, step ft 1 out to side , step ft 2 over ft 1, step ft 1 out, step ft 2 in back , step ft 1 out to side, ball change in front with ft 2 (reverse) *paddle-turn- flap first ft, and do 3 ball change around in a circle with other ft to help u around in a circle, hand up is the same side as the ft u flap with *balance-step ballchange on toes rt next to eachother. hands go back and forth over head *posse- bring ft up to knee *develope- extend *spot turn- turn on toes of one ft on one place(dont move) and of course spot(pick one thing to focus on when u turn and look at it for as long as u can when u turn-until u have to turn your head then turn head fast and look at that spot again-this will help u from getting dizzy) with this turn even though u should spot with all turns.--but dont get discouraged if u cant spot, lots of ppl cant, but practice! *releve-go up on toes *plie- bend knees and go down keeping back straight |
