| The Girls will be working on finishing their Bronze Award for Juniors and the Cadettes will be working on the requirements for the Silver Award. This is for upcoming year 2003-2004. Girls will be cooking a meal for the homeless shelter once a month, conducting a food drive for Agape food pantry, volunteering at their churches to help in areas needed and will be volunteering at various Child care centers to read to the pre-schoolers. After the girls do some of these projects together, they will each complete a service project for the community on their own. One girl has decided to do a dance camp for younger girls in the Spring. The other girls have and will be volunteering at their schools in areas where needed. Our troop hopes to raise enough money to go to Gatlinburg, Tennessee at the end of 2004. After that we hope to raise enough to go to England in 2008. Hope you enjoyed looking at our Savannah and Tybee Island photos. We also will be doing a few activities during the year. In August we will be going to a dinner theater to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and in Sept. we will be going bowling together. In Oct. we will be going to Dark Hollow to camp, do crafts and hike. In Nov. some of us will be doing a sewing workshop. In Dec. we will be participating in Cuddler's for Kids in Crisis, making ornaments for the Girl Scout Christmas tree, and marching in the Christmas parade. In Jan. we will be selling cookies. In Feb. we will be having a cookie booth and doing Thinking Day. In March the Powder Puff derby. In April we will go to Appomatax. In May we will go to A waterpark in Dublin and in June we will go on our trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Jr. and Cadette troop 79 |
