MAINES, Blanche, Mrs.
Age 89 of Clearfield died Feb. 22, 1962 (please note this could be the date the obit was in the hospital or could be the death date, I'm not sure.
Born In Clearfield R.D., on Dec. 19, 1872, a daughter of Capt. Mathew and Margaret (Shaw) Ogden.   She was the last surviving memeber of her immedite family.  She had 4 daughters and 2 sons, (if you would like their names, please email me) 
She was preceeded in death by her first husband, Archer Spence and one son Rhue W. Spence.  Bural will be in Goshen Cemetery.
MAINES, Harvey E.
Age 81 of Clearfield, died Sunday (this date could be the death date or the date published in the paper) April 19,1964
Born in Goshen Township, Sept 19, 1882, son of John and Fannie (Dixon) Maines.   (email me if you would like the names of his and Blanche's children).  Burial will be at Goshen Cemetery, Nicholson Funeral Home in charge of arraangements.  His wife Blanche and stepchild Rhue Spence proceeded him in death.

age 101, widow of Joseph N. McCracken, died at the home of her daughter of Wesleyville, PA. 
She was a resident of Mahaffey for 48 years.  Born in Westover June 29, 1870, a daughter of of the late Samuel W. and Sara J. Byers.   Her husband preceeded her in death in 1944  She was a member of the Bells Landing Baptist Church, the Greewood Township , Pennsylvania and National Granges, and an associate member of the Pennsylvania Unit, Wally Byam Caravan Club.
The Rev. John E. Stebbins will officate at  funeral services Sunday at 2 P.M. at the T.G. McCracken Funeral Home, Mahaffey.   Interment will be made at the Mt Zion Cemetery, Mahaffey R.D.

MAINES, Mattie, 75, of 221 Reed St. Clearfield formerly of LeContes Mills, died at 5:15 pm, Wed. April 25 in Clearfield Hospital.  
She was born in LeContes Mills, Aug. 25, 1897, the daughter of William and Liza (Graham) Condon.

Mrs. Maines was preceded in death by her husband, Curtin Maines.  
She was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Francis (Rebecca) Leigey and Mrs. Alta Lansberry, both of Clearfield, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Bennett Funeral Home in Clearfield from 2 pm Friday until time of services at 1:30 pm Saturday with the Rev. Duane "White officiating.   Interment will be in Eden Cemetery.
McCRACKEN, DANIEL H., age 54 of
Clearfield, R.D.3, died at the Clearfield Hosptial Sunday evening at 10:25 pm.  He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Clearfield Moose lodge.
Surviving him are his wife, Mary McCracken (this is questionable) and five children, 9 grandchildren, 2 brothers William of Philipsburg and Walter of Clearfield, and one sister Anna Bloom.  His first wife (Edna Buck) preceeded him in death 16 years ago, one brother Jack was killed in World War II.  Military honors will be conducted by the Clearfield American Legion.  Burial at Bradford Cemetary.
THOMAS, Margaret, age 71, wife of Conrad Thomas of Hillsdale died in her home yesterday at 9:55 pm after a long illness.  Born Feb 25, 1877 in pike twp, she is survived by the following children:

Mrs. Cora Mary  Luzier, age 94 of Olanta.   Grandaughter of Daniel Ogden,  1st settler of Clearfield.  Cora was born 08/22/1876.  She was the daughter of John H and Martha (Tate)
Ogden.  She had one daughter  Mrs. James (Geraldine) Condon and a son Ivan P. Luzier.   She was a member of the Kerr Addition/Goshen Church.

Best, William G.- LYNDONVILLE - a service will be held at 2 pm, Wed. at the Barnes-Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina for William Best who died in Medina Memorial Hospital Saturday.   He was employed by Bero Constr. before his retirement in 1967.  He is survived by a dau. and two sons, three sisters including Olive Knight of Mantau, Ohio and seven grandchildren.  No dates on obit.
