Things That Should be in Your Dance Bag!
Shoes
Well, Duh! Haha. But seriously, ALWAYS double check to be sure you have ALL your shoes. If you realize you have forgotten a pair though, ballet slippers are  ok to wear for jazz, lyrical or hip hop. but never ANY other kinds of shoes are suitable for ballet. If you did need a substitue, Be sure to tell your teacher before class, with many apoligies for forgetting your shoes!
Extra Attire
Tights/Pantyhose rip easily. Most dancers learn this the hard way! But to be sure, pack at least 1 extra pair of tights or pantyhose. Pack an extra leotard (Not a new one or anything! Just an old one thats in good shape) so that you have it just in case. You may never need to use it, but if you do, you'll be glad that you have one. Oh, and pack your warmupgear (legwarmers, t shirts, jazz pant, etc.)
Hair Junk
Bobbypins, Hair pins, Elastics, hairspray and gel are all good things to have in case your bun decides to fall out in the middle of class. Or a girl in your class might need one to borrow. Then you have some for them! you'll be everybodys bestfriend! Haha.
Water
Ask any dancer! you need LOTS of water. 3 bottles maybe, unless your studio has a vending machine or is close to a store (Mine is both! So i only take 1 bottle of water) But you don't want to risk being dehydrated during class. and never ever ever, no matter how thirsty you are, go to get a drink right in the middle of class. Do it quickly during a break in class, like when you're done an excersise, or watching another group.
Ouchie Fixers
Band aids, New skin, extra padding,Tape, Ointment...You want them all in there (If you're on Pointe)!!! But dont use them in the middle of class, even on a break. How attractive is it to watch somebody take off their pointe shoes after working hard, roll up their footless tights and start putting bandaids on their feet? Not Very ^_^! So do it before and after class!
