What to wear for your 1st Ballet class

Black Leotard:

You can never go wrong with it. It's
thee basic leo color. It doesn't matter if its either:
A-Thin strap
B-Wide Strap
C-Short Sleaved
D-Quater length
E- Long sleaved
If your dance school has a dress code, you will be informed about it, but wearing a black leotard is always the best bet.

Pink tights:
For practices, almost all dance schools accept pink tights. white or cream color would also be acceptable, but do not wear pantyhose, because it snags easily and it can get very itchy! You can wear footless or footed (i guess thats the oppostite of footless!?!)

A Skirt:
I wear a short skirt, but there are also knee length and longer skirts. If you want to use one, i suggest you wear the short or knee length one. (if you want a long one, you can ask your teacher and buy it later)

Soft Pink Ballet Slippers:
I recommend a full sole, canvas or leather (unless you need a certain kind) with a full sole to support your arch.  The people that sell ballet shoes are very helpful and can show you  diffrent kinds
