Cain, the Unwilling Accomplice to Herbert West in Re-Animator and Bride
of Re-Animator.
He was drawn into the twisted experiments by the promise of helping
humanity over come death. Their gruesome work gets out of hand quickly
when their teacher, Dr. Hill discovers West's serum. Soon, he was in
over his head and his girlfriend Meg was dead. After donating time in
a traumatic war in Peru, Herbert again convinced Dan to aid in the experiments.
This time by vowing to return Meg to life using her perfectly preserved
heart. Dan and Herbert rebuilt Meg from discarded body parts 'borrowed'
from Miskatonic Hospital in Bride of Re-Animator. However, once more,
things didn't work out for Dan and Herbert when Dr. Hill again rises
from the dead to seek his revenge.
