| In an opening day game of the two preseason heavyweights, and a possible world series preview, the Braves edged the Astros. Winter looked strong on the hill early, but Cahill and Olson broke out the bats with back to back triples to get on the board first. They held the lead for a while until errors on consecutive hard hit ground balls put the Braves on top. When the game continued on a later date, the Astros just couldn't find the holes as they fell to the Braves. 7/02- A historic Event at Arena de Olson, Alex Olson pitches a No hitter and Strikes out 12 batters, the highest possible total k's. Congratulations. 7/02- (Late Game)- The Round Trippers started off there season with a bang as they defeated the perenial powerhouse Blood brothers, 19-7. Paul and mookie Played great the whole game, and Mookie hit a Crucial Grand Slam in the Top of the 5th inning. 7/03 - The Blood Brothers continued to struggle as they dropped both games of the double header they played the other day. In the first game, Ipsquish pitched a great game as the Bros. just couldn't get the bats working. The late game was a pitching duel, and an instant classic. Cahill and Foley matched eachother on the hill all game, until a streak of cheap hits put Foley/Galvin on top by four runs, but the Blood Bros. weren't done. Back to back hits in the bottom of the 6th set the stage for a mamouth 2 run blast that cut the lead to one. A great pitching battle was won by foley at the end of the game, and before they knew it the Blood Bros. were 2-4. While it seems they may be ina tough position, we don't expect them to lose the rest of the season. 7/12- Olson Pitches a Gem and The Brothers have the Bats working. With a Complete game 2 hitter, and Jay and Jack Feel like they were slapped. |
