5/30/00...thank God school is almost out! Doesn't matter because the party has already begun! I just got home from a Memorial Day weekend Northwest tour...i kinda travelled a lil bit, but i think i could've stayed within Washington's borders and have had more fun! Saturday me and some homegirls went clubbin in Vancouver, Canada...I thought Canada would be poppin, but i guess we went to the wrong club or somethin'...i didnt even get drunk!... On Sunday I found myself in Portland at a party called eXplosion...it was aight, just a lil hot up in there...I met some dope bboys from IRS also...a couple months ago I went to TX to visit my mom...If ur ever in Dallas- do not try to break at the Lizard Lounge or you will be kicked out! I know this because that is what happened to me! Haha, oh well...I have a hella fun summer comin' up, but right now I just can't wait for USC 4 year anniversary this Sat...Should be DOPE!
6/18/00...my knees are all bruised up. I forgot to wear my knee pads and was breakin all night at this party/function/carshow/wannabe rave thing (whatever u wanna call it) in Silverdale I went to called 360 showoff...It was OK- I had hella fun just gettin my dance on...I am so happy that I'm finally getting my windmill down! Friday I went to a battle at Seattle Center...I don't think a lot of people knew about it because not many showed up...I only found out about it the day before...I wish i entered with my friends, I was too nervous and intimidated...Next week is this big bboy battle hosted by RSC at this rave called Delicious 2000...I can't wait!
7/6/00...i haven't been practicing at all lately, but i think today some people are gonna try to get together and practice. Ew, that Delicious rave was wack! They didn't even finish the battle. They did the first round and thats it. I was very disappointed. Anyway, I've been kinda down lately and all i've been doing is listening to slow jams! On the fourth I went to go watch fireworks with two other couples and felt so lonely by myself =( I should find comfort in dancing and just dance my blues away!
7/24/00...I just got home from california this morning. it was sooooo crazy and fun! i'm sad cuz its the last time i will see Eric in a while since he's goin back to school in AZ. We went clubbin on friday night at City Nights...it was coo...i saw a black guys butt...he was dancing in one of those cages...it was the nicest roundest butt ive ever seen in my life! hehe...i breaked a lil there but i was all dressed up so i didn't break that much...we went to cyberfest on saturday in fresno and i battled this one guy that my friend told me wanted to battle me, but she told him i wanted to battle him so she was tryin to start shit! i thought it was funny tho...he wasn't even a bboy he was raver
9/5/00...dang I haven't updated my site in forever!!! My bad!!! I've been practicin' lots lately tho, so that's a good thing! I have a plane to catch tonight to Texas to visit my mom in Ft. Worth. I'm so excited cuz i'm goin to this event called "BBoy City" it should be dope! I wanna join the bgirl competition, but I'm a lil nervous...Hopefully I'll do good enough to satisfy myself! I've been feeling really good about my dancing lately! It feels so good when you've been workin so hard for something and it begins to pay off!
9/17/00...BBoy City was dope!!!!! I had so much fun! There were some tiote bgirls there- madd props to Jackie from San Antonio, and Lucky and Jazzy! Also to the Jive Turkeys who were cool enough to let me tag along with them! I miss them guys already!!! Me and Jackie ended up losing to Lucky and Jazzy in the bgirl battle, but it was just hella fun battling 2 on 2 cuz i've never done anything like that before! Last night I also battled at Shoreline with the "VIVID VIXENS" this new bgirl crew we're starting...it was Me, Jenna, Syrus, and Anna battling, but there's also Angel, Lotuz, and Wendee from Portland! We actually got past the first round! CLAP CLAP HI 5 LADIES!!! Pretty dope since it was our first battle together! Everyone was so dope! I've been watchin' lotsa video's of myself dancing and criticizing myself in what I could do better and stuff. Oh gosh, I wish I could hold my freezes better!!!
10/7/00...I just got back from AZ last week from visiting Eric and Ar-nerd. I miss them soooo frickin' much! hopefully i'll live...oh mann I didn't know that Bgirlin' would be so rewarding. I went up to Bellingham to visit my homegirl and she took me to this club called Funky Planet in Canada. Although I was dressed in leather pants and a halter top I could not resist the bboy circle and had to represent. Before I knew it I was being mobbed with shots of tequila. Needless to say, I took full advantage of this opportunity since guys never seem to buy me drinks (I must be ugly).
10/15/00...The PLU battle was pretty darn wack! It was really disorganized. But anyway, I gotta give props to all the dancers who repped especially my crew for the night, Dance Tech. It was cool to see everyone represent their skillz. They did some dope stuff tonight, but the atmosphere and everything just wasn't there. For me at least. Maybe everyone else had fun??? Well I did have fun seeing everyone and stuff, but I was at a point that I didn't feel like dancing anymore and just wanted to chill and practice. Oh wellz, I got 14 dollars out of it and that's the most income I've seen since I got my allowance from my mom last week!
11/3/00...I've been changing around my site a lil if you haven't noticed. I put this link on the mainpage so maybe now more nosey people will know all the boring details of my life. I just got done reading what I've written in the past 6 months and you all prolly think I'm some kind of alcoholic/raver/clubber AzN PriDe dork, huh? Oh well, the only people who read this anyway is Syrus and Jenna...hehe...jp...Anyway, tomorrow is Centerstage 3!!! I'm not even gonna go out tonight cuz I'm scared I won't be able to wake up in time when Rage comes and picks me up. The only thing that sucks is not all the Vixens are gonna be able to go!!! I'm so sad!!! I haven't even practiced in more than a week cuz my wrist has been being weird. The only time I did anything was when my boyfriends family made me break for them cuz they wanted to see. They even played "Planet Rock" for me to dance to! haha...I didn't really mind, but it's like such a pet peeve when people try to get you to bust just to see what you can do and they don't even break and you're the only breaker and after you're done they're like- oh that was cool. You know?
11/24/00...Wow, work really sucks. It won't let me do anything. I barely have time to practice anymore! Boooooohooooo!!! The only real practice I've had since my last update in this diary thang has been the two events I went to. Centerstage 3 was madd fun! Me, Jenna, and Wendee battled with Lydia and ShaoJin and made it to the final round. It was a three way battle and we got 3rd. On the 17th I battled with the POWS at the Lincoln breakwar. It was kewl and we made it to the finals, but there was only 4 crews battling and we battled the other half of the POWS in the final. So, that was kinda gay. Hmmmm...What else has been goin on...I'm starting to get my 90's! I feel a lil spin, but I think I need to kick more. I went to the MT. BRO's show at UW last weekend and was sooo lovin the floor. It was nice and slippery and I did my windmills better than I've ever done them before in my life. WOW, I'm str8 be alllll about POWER!!! Watch me start bustin' airtracks and halo's one day! Pshhhhaaa, I wish...I was watching my bboy video's the other day and my 3 year old baby bro, Thomas, was watching them with me. He started trying to imitate what he saw on TV. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen!!! He's gonna be a future bboy, I already know it! He loves dancin'. Plus he's filipino so he has to!
1/17/01...It's been a long time since I did anything to this site. Not much has been going on. For Christmas I went to visit my mom in Texas. Sorry Jin for not hittin' you up while I was there!!! For New Year's and my birthday I went to AZ to visit Eric and Arnold again. We went to a rave over at the place where Dateline or 20/20 or whatever did their news special thing at. I was str8 bustin' all by myself in a lil corner cuz there were no other bboys or bgirls. Last weekend there was the Fat Laces battle. I did one round then let my homeboy take my spot cuz I wasn't feeling it. Prolly cuz I haven't really practiced in a couple months! Dang and next weekend is Funkfest 2001 and I am so not ready.
2/17/01...Funkfest actually turned out pretty kewl. We had some difficulties with the venue at first because the lady who was supposed to open up the rec center never showed up. So we had a bunch of bboys from all over chillin in the parking lot for about an hour! We we're all so nervous we didnt know what to do! The guys we're being cool tho, they were all having a parking lot session and that kept their minds off the cold weather and the fact that they drove hours to get there. We ended up moving it to a place in Vancouver which turned out to be a good idea since we had the place til midnight and could bust all night. The vibe was kewl and all the dancers were dope! Massive Monkee's took 1st and a whopping $100 prize. Props to all my lovely ladies in the Vivid Vixens and to Dj Bles One for spinning the cuts.
3/21/01....I've started to practice hardcore again! I am determined to get my 90's. I have half a round (which I'm very proud of)! I want to work on my power cuz I know if I go to Bboy summit this summer there's gonna be madd girls there with all this power so I want to be able to at least hang. A couple nights ago I had this dream where I was at a battle. The battle was over and everyone was leaving when this one girl starting giving me attitude and pissing me off. So I was like- "wanna battle?" We went to the roof of the building and when I got to the top she wasn't there. So I waited for her and then I decided to climb back down, but when I was climbing down I fell off and then I woke up. WTH?
