1982 - Graduated from Phillips Exeter
1986 - Graduated from Amherst with a double major in Spanish and English
1990 - self-published a CD entitled Perspective, sold only a few hundred copies
1991 - moved to Hollywood to pursue a career as singer-songwriter and pianist.
1993 - released the self-titled CD Dan Brown, which included songs such as "976-Love" and "If You Believe in Love".
1995 - Brown's first-ever book 187 Men to Avoid: A Survival Guide for the Romantically Frustrated Woman as Danielle Brown
1996 - Quit teaching and became a full-time writer.
1997 - Married Blythe Newlon at Pea Porridge Pond, near North Conway NH.
1998 - Browns second book Digital Fortress published.
2001 - Brown's third book Deception Point published.
2003 - Fourth book, Angels & Demons released.
2003 - The Best seller, Da Vinci Code released.
2004 - All four of Browns novels were on the New York Times Best Sellers list in the same week.
2006 - Brown's novel The Da Vinci Code was released as a film by Columbia Pictures.
