We finally started the busabout tour today. Quite a releif that the bus wasn�t full and then we were able to have our our seat in order to catch up on sleep. 9 or so hours later and we arrived at our hostel. Lots of school kids staying at the hostel. At least it stays light until well after 10 and so we went for a walk to one of the only three places where the Berlin Wall still exists - to see the East Side Gallerz. 300 m of art ... well grafitti now too. Afterwards we went to the local Irish Pub that the tour guide recommended and had a couple of beers with a few people off the bus, the guide and the bus driver. Too many Australians!
Wednesdaz 18th June
The Insiders Tour - highlz reccoment it. 4.5 hours of walking around the city and most people know how crap my historz is ... well after this tour its made me want to read up more. Excellent tour guide who was funnz and on to with facts, statistics etc. Whz couldn�t mz teachers and lecturers have taught like that ... I may have actuallz listened. After the tour we caught the train out to one of the Concentration games. Due to tiredness ... the name escapes me at the mo. Felt quite yuck walking around there. Looking forward to Munich in a few weeks time.
Thursday 19th June
The day for Museums. Saw three in total. First of all the Jewish Museum which is a spectacular building architecually and I could of spent ages in there. Secondly we went to Check point Charlie (a checkpoint obviously). Was really tired and fell asleep during one of the videos. And finally the Topography of Terror which is a display of photos and information and did the audio tour of that. Again I was buggered so it went in one ear and out the other. Information Overload today.
