FRANCE .....
Bon Jour! I had to get up at 4.30 am (after three hours sleep) still drunk and having to get to Embankment to catch the bus to Paris. We were suppose to leave at 6.30, I'm not sure what time we got away because the tubes were a bit stuffed still from the day before's episodes. Ok ... this is where I am going to be lazy and copy and paste Angela's email that she sent to Sam because I'm sick of typing ... Danny sorry about but now your secret is out (yeah I know I am an Evil B****) Quote Angela King - " Well - the weekend....where do I start? Dana pined for the boy all weekend - never stopped talking about him (didn't ya Dana!). Nah she wasn't that bad at all. But she got a bit of shit when she rang him as soon as reception was restored to her phone! No real goss at all - apart from Danny coming out of the closet and holding then stroking a guys hand. All a bit interesting. Made a good topic of conversation on the way home on the bus! Kerry was feeling better by then - so a lot of good calls were made and Danny reverted to alcoholism. He was the only one of us that was drinking. We had people puking on the bus - none of us of course. All amusing not when he was in the bus puking though - not nice noises and we were all retching!! Dana got trapped in her seat while a guy puked in a plastic bag beside her - and unfortunately the bag had holes!I had changed seats just prior to this as one of the others (were poms - cant hold there piss!) looked like he was about to blow chunks as well. This was all not far out from Calais after getting off of the ferry on the way! We had a drunk bitch on the bus last night who was being a bit abusive and angry and very drunk. She puked after sculling her vodka, then about three hours later was yelling at her boyfriend about where her vodka was.All pretty funny! Goodish game - atmosphere in the Stadium was cool. It was huge!! Made the "cake tin" look pathetic. Was awesome when the French started chanting and stuff - we were kind of drowned out. Wicked mexican wave! Managed to just catch the bus back. Had to run in front of it to make it stop as it was pulling out. Not easy when 80,000 people all try to leave somewhere at once - especially as they are trying to catch the metro! Unfortunately we didn't go up the tower - you could hardly see the top of it as it was quite misty. Danny bought us lolly necklaces - that me and Kim diligently wore all weekend - but Dana ate hers, and Danny kept offering to eat ours - while we were wearing them! Some things never change! Once a Massey boy - always a Massey boy! And yes - that was about it. Not much else to add apart from meeting a boys phone number and address, got somewhere to stay in Liverpool now. Anything you'd like to add Dana? " End Quote. Well I loved Paris if going by the amount of photos I took (almost as many as I took on my month holiday) is any account. We didn't get into Paris till quite late, sure the traffic was hectic but I am sure it is partly due to our dipstick of a bus driver. We had the option of seeing Paris by night, just getting dropped off in town or to stay and do your own thing. Seeing it was my first time in Paris (the others had already been before except Gorkem) I opted for the Paris by night option. Truly beautiful, had to watch out for the dog shit though when we stopped to take photos. Loved Notre Dame, The Opera House (I didn't realise the story of Phantom of the Opera was based on this theatre) and .... oh I could just list everything really! Got back to the Hotel and Ange, Kim, Danny and some boys from the bus were at the bar - wasted. Tried to do the sneaky and slip off to bed but Ange would have none of that so a room party we had. And out came the Nature CD - how cool is that! Well as time went on more people were in the room, everyone because more happier and louder. The poor old security man had to come and tell us off quite a few times. Well I finally made an exit as I was stuffed and could still hear them going from my room a flight down and a few rooms across. Don't know why I bothered going to bed as Danny just though it was hilarious jumping on me when he returned to the room and telling me about how they were all about to be kicked out of the hotel by the Police. Needless to say Danny looked like shit the next day. We went on a river cruise mid-morning and I went mad taking photos again. It became a bit of a joke and so Danny said to me 'Have you taken a photo of that bridge Dana' and I said 'No' - so I took a photo and someone walked in front of me, so I took another. Then I asked Danny what the bridge what was significant about that bridge - and he cracked up laughing saying that it was just a bridge. So I have got two photos of 'some bridge'. After the boat ride we went and ate - was terrible food and we were still hungry so we went to McDonalds and I have to say it was the best meal I had in France (apart from the Rhubarb/Blackberry desert I had!). Went and had a look in Notre Dame - love it and then caught the Metro to the Luve and checked out Mona . The Stadium was awesome - Danny briefly lost his pocket knife when he stuck it down his pants as he was getting patted down and then couldn't find it! We had pretty good seats even though we were behind the goal, but we were up the front. It was a bit weird in that there were no replays on the screen so we didn't even know why some people were sent off! As Ange said the atmosphere was awesome, and when the French crown sang their anthem during the last minutes it made you want to melt ... mmmm. Oh yeah, one funny thing is that they were selling non-alcoholic Stella for about 5.50 Euros. No one knew it was non-alcoholic and were a bit pissed off. And luckily we did get our bus back to the hotel ... but for others on the bus it cost them a fortune - they were gutted when Danny told them that he got a taxi back for 12 Euros and they had thought they had got a bargin, getting the fare reduced from 110 Euros to 70. Now that is one expensive taxi ride and they were pretty slutted when they discovered they had been had! So that's about all really, I was out of character and didn't drink all weekend - as I didn't want to risk missing out on anything! I brought some lovely postcards, even brought stamps and then I was dumb arse and left them on the table at lunch. So sorry Haruko, no postcards for your partition wall, I got your postcard finally (as I hadn't seen Ange for ages).
