Greg Naughton and The Stark Naked Sole is a band headed by James's son. Greg is an extremely talented singer/songwriter, whose debut album Demogogue and the Sun Songs has garnered rich praise. The album is available from Greg's web site as well as selected stores in the New York City area. Greg and the band often play clubs in NYC, and are planning a nation tour sometime this year.

James's daughter Keira Naughton is also active in show business, having been in stage productions such as Dance of Death and films including Blair Witch 2. Keira also belongs to a band called The Petersons.

David Naughton, James's younger brother, is best known for starring in An American Werewolf in London. Earlier in his career, David starred in numerous Dr. Pepper commercials and recorded an album titled Makin' It.

Newman's Own is a company founded by Paul Newman that donates all procedes to charity. Mr. Newman also established summer camps for children with serious illnesses. James sits on the board of directors for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camps.

James regularly performs and directs at the Westport Country Playhouse in Westport, Connecticut. He has also frequently been found on and behind the stage at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

The Actors Fund of America is a nonprofit organization founded in 1882, provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals.
