Sum41, The Starting Line, No Use For A Name, Authority Zero  at Bronco Bowl
Dallas, TX
April 5 was probably one of the longest days I've ever spent at a venue. My friend Danae and I went to the Bronco Bowl seven hours early, hoping to see the band members and hang out with them. To our luck, they were all tired, and slept. The show started with Authority Zero. I hadnt heard much from them, or much of them for that, so I was kind of curious of how they sounded and played. They were really energetic and I liked them for the most part. After them and a short intermission, No Use For A Name went on. I've never been a big fan, and I didn't really know any of their songs or anything, but I somewhat listened to them at Warped Tour 2002 and I was ready for their set. They played really well, and by the looks of it, a lot of the crowd was there to see them. The whole place was jumping and having fun. It just happened it was one of the member's birthday, Matt I believe, and all the bands came out and sang him happy birthday and threw the cake all over him. It was funny and the crowd loved it. They ended their set and the crowd was more then pumped to see The Starting Line. With this being my 6th time seeing them, I was excited over belief. Matt, one of the guitarists, played the first chord, and Kenny, the vocalist and bassist, came running out and all the girls and the place started screaming. "Up and Go" was their opening song and everyone was singing along. Kenny, Tom, Mike, and Matt seemed in an extremely good mood and they danced and flirted with the crowd from the stage. With me seeing them 6 times, that was BY FAR the best I had ever seen them play. They played about 9 songs, which is a pretty normal set for them I suppose. After they got off, there was about a 45 minute intermission between The Starting Line and Sum 41, I guess it was to set up all the cool lights and stuff. When Sum41 finally came on, the lights flashed and everyone, who hadn't left yet, went crazy. Deryck, the lead vocalist and guitarist was very interactive with the crowd, which made the set better.  Steve, the drummer had a microphone and so he was talking and making jokes and making the crowd laugh between songs. All in all, it was an AMAZING show, and all four bands are worth the time to go check out!
