Eminem, also known as Slim Shady, was born Marshall Bruce Mathers 111 on October 17, 1972. While he was growing up he had always been moving around. mainly because his mother could never keep a job. He even said that he got bullied alot for being the new kid. One time when he was nine years old a kid named DeAngelo Bailey beat him so bad he had to go into the hospital. I read some where that even almost died because of him.
In 1999 he released his solo album The Slim Shady lp. The album was co produced by his new friend Dr. Dre. In the first single released off the album called 'My Name Is" theres a line in which Em says..."99% of my life I've been lied to/I just found out my mom does more dope than I do..." because of that line and many allegations against his mother later on that year, his mom, Debbie Mathers Briggs, would soon file a law suit against him claiming that the things Em said about her were not true and that she sufffered emotional damage and even lost her mobile home because of what Em said about her. She sued him for 11 million dollars.
Also in 1999 Eminem married his long time girlfriend and baby momma, Kim Scott. Not even a year into their marriage Eminem found his wife kissing another man outside a bar. This really pissed Em off so he pulled out a gun and pistol wiped him. both Em and Kim went to jail for disturbing the peace and brandishing a firearm. Eminem just recently got probation for this incident. em later filed for divorce from Kim but they canceled it and tryed to reconcile for the sake of their daughter Hailie Jade. But it failed and not too long after that Kim herself filed for divorce. That divorce suit is still going on.
Last year in 2000 Eminem met back up with his five friends from Detroit, D12, and signed them to his own record label, Shady Records. They released their first album, Devils Night, just recently. I recommend you all go buy it now. Cuz it's a cool fucking c.d. |
