| As I draft this, I wait at McDonalds near the Burbank Marriott Hotel. Although I only slept a couple of hours last night, I feel wide awake now. In two hours, I will be on a plane back to Phoenix, and tomorrow I'll be at work at Zounds. It doesn't seem real yet. It was nice that I only had to say "see you online," and not "goodbye," but I'm not ready to let go of all of you quite yet. If the words would come, I'd write you a poem. About how much it's meant to be able to share so much of my heart online, and the way you blessed me by being in the same room, to speak, to finally be able to give you real hugs. To all of you, those who I met in person this weekend, and those who I didn't yet, you're brilliant and beautiful, and I am honored to be one of you. |
