| Dear Serena & Tabbi; I am in a dilemma. I just got a new puppy. The problem is he doesn't get along with my cat. I don't want to give either up, because I care for both of them! What should I do? Sincerely, Crazy for my Pets, in Yahoo, NJ. |
| Dear Crazy: First of all, make sure you pay a lot of attention to the cat. He or she is very jealous at this point, over a new addition to the family. Granted, the puppy is going to need a lot of attention as well. But, when the cat is around, the cat rules the domicile. `When it is play time, pay equal attention to both. Eventually, you will be able to play with both of them at the same time. That is what you need to give them both time, they are new to each other and, one doesn't know the other. Blessed Be, Serena & Tabbi |
