Feedback: [email protected] Pairing: Willow/Kennedy Notes: A short story, I'm writing little parts here and there...just to get them out! Summary: Kennedy and Willow discover new problems. Down on the floor was the...thing from earlier on in the evening. The scaled man defending himself from one of the demon dogs. Kennedy got to see him in action now and was impressed. The demon attacked and the scaled man blocked and floowed up with a beating of his own. He had amazing strength, the familiar pipe was again in his hands. A loud clang signaled the end of the fight as the demon dog fell to the floor. He was still wearing the jeans with the cuffs rolled up buth his tank top was missing. A few large scars could be seen on his torso. At his feet lay a large burlap sack with the top drawn shut. Out from behind some boxes came a woman all dressed in black. From under her leather jacket she produced a similar looking burlap sack. "Doc." She spoke as she threw the sack at the scaled man. Willow and Kennedy exchanged pullzed looks. The scaled man, who's name appeared to be 'Doc' caught the bag and began to stuff the demon dog inside of it. "Creepy much?" Willow whispered to Kennedy. The mini slayer sniffed understandingly. The woman on the floor obviously appeared to know the scaled man. "Do you think she's working for him?" Kennedy whispered. "Looks like he's doing her dirty work..." Willow answered. The mystery lady was watching Doc put the demon into the bag but jerked her head with Willows last comment. Both Willow and Kennedy instinctively shrunk back behind the boxes getting better cover. The lady flipped her raven hair and slowly turned and scanned the room, including the mezzanine up above. Willow and Kennedy got a good look at the lady. She was very pretty, had a darker complection and a young face. Living on the Hell Mouth had taught Willow that image is not everything. This pretty young lady could be a very bad player indeed. "I am ready Nadia." Doc said as he hefted the two full bags over his shoulder effortlessly. The lady did not appear to hear him, she concentrated on the mezzanine. Willow and Kennedy did not make a sound. "I am ready Nadia." Doc said again, he had no irritation in his voice, it was like he was used to repeating himself. "Yes...yes." Nadia said absent-mindedly. She scanned for a few seconds more and seemed to gather her thoughts. "We have what we need, time to go." She strode purposefully to an alternate exit with Doc following. Kennedy and Willow stood and went back to the door. "Looks like there is more to this than we thought." Willow said when she was sure they were out of earshot. "What did she mean 'we have what we need'?" Kennedy questioned her friend. "Why would you need a demon?" "I can think of a few reasons..." Willow said gravely. |
