October 2, 2000 Wow, 46 more days to go!! I can't believe it. I'm mailing the invitations this afternoon. It appears our guest list has grown since we started planning this 8.5 months ago. Thank goodness I ordered extra invitations. I'm 85% finished with the decorations for the reception. I have only one weekend left to get everything ready. After this weekend, I will be busy attending my cousin's wedding, my nephew's birthday party and various wedding showers and a bridesmaid luncheon. It never fails that as soon as I think I can rest, something I forgot about shows up. Last Friday I had my pre-bridal pictures. I'm going to post a link to it here for those who'd like to see me in my dress before the wedding. The only difference between these pictures and how I'll look on the wedding day, is the size of my flowers. Everything is pretty much going to be the same. I might change my earings, not sure. The necklace I'm wearing is my something old. It's an emerald cut diamond that John gave me 3 years ago. My something blue will be one of my garters I think. I have no idea what my borrowed or new will be yet. Anyway, below is the link. View my prebridal pictures This is all the news I have to report for now. I still have tons of stuff to do. I'll report more next week. October 20, 2000 Wow, only 28 days and 16 hours. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I'm nervous only about standing in front of all those people. We're having our co-ed shower tomorrow evening. It's going to be nice to have some of our family together and allow them to meet each other before the wedding. We finally bought our wedding bands. I finished all the wedding bubbles last weekend as well. I have a few more things to do but it's nothing that would take more than half a day to finish. The only major things left to do are print the programs (doing that next week), get our marriage license and go through our premarital counseling (also next week). Everything else is pretty much taken care of. I can now officially say that I can relax and enjoy the ride. :) More to come soon!! October 24, 2000 We had the most wonderful shower Saturday. Most of our family was there along with a few of our friends. The food was delicious. We received lots of really nice gifts. I'm really happy that our families were able to meet each other before the wedding. It was a night I won't forget. My sister (and maid of honor) did an excellent job. I will be posting pictures from the shower by the end of this week in the photo album. Planing is slowly coming to an end as everything is falling together perfectly. We meet with the Pastor tonight to have our pre-marital couseling. We also are planning on getting our marriage license this afternoon. I finalize things with the caterer as well. What a busy day! The next couple of weeks I'll be finishing reception decorations and getting prepared for the bridesmaid luncheon on November 11. My next update will be in early November (since it's only a few days away). �
