I've picked out our official engagement picture. Well,
actually two. :) They can be found in the photo album. I ordered the
invitations Monday. We found a single card invitation that we liked.
I can't wait to see the final product. I'll scan one when I get them
and post it on this site. I've decided on the cake design for the wedding
cake. The groom's cake is still iffy on what we're going to do. I'm
also still deciding which cake topper I want to use. I found one that
I love but it's a tad bit overpriced and I've only seen it online (yet
to find in a store). Here's an idea of what the cakes will look like
and the hopeful cake topper. Only 3.5 months to go!! I still don't have
musicians yet but everything else has been taken care of or is in the
process of being taken care of.

Well the engagement pictures are in. I have several nice
poses to choose from. All of them are great of John, wish I could say
the same for me. One thing I did notice is my makeup wasn't enough.
I wore what I was planning on wearing for the wedding and well, I need
to find another color. I guess it is true that you need to wear more
than you usually do for the pictures. This weekend, I'm going to register
at Dillard's for a few more place settings of the china pattern that
I already have (bought most of it with my income tax return two years
ago). I'm also going back to Target where we registered a few months
ago to remove a few items and add a couple of things I forgot about.
I finally got a hold of the baker that came highly recommended to me
and now I just have to find a cake design I like. There are so many
pretty ones out there. Getting married in the middle Tennessee area?
I have the number of a fabulous baker who does it half the price of
other places. I haven't ordered the invitations yet, I've put it off
until next week. Oh yeah!! We hit the 4 months to go mark Tuesday!!
Woo Hoo. . . I can't wait. I've changed my mind on the honeymoon. We
had decided on Cancun since John wanted to do an all-inclusive plan
and it was cheaper than Disney World (which was my first choice) but
I did some searching online and found a much cheaper way for us to go
visit Mickey. The travel agent was going to charge us an extra $600
for Disney World. . .be careful when planning your honeymoon. If you
can, check online before heading to one.

Well, I'm finally making progress with my planning. I've
already started decorating the wedding bubbles and creating the table
decor for the reception. The caterer has her deposit, yeah!! I still
don't have musicians though. The bridesmaid dresses have arrived and
so far everyone seems pleased with them. I have to take one to the florist
and re-coordinate the flower arrangements but that won't be a problem.
I took vacation from work last week and stay home to work around the
house and do some wedding planning. John and I got our engagement pictures
taken and I pick the proofs up July 19. I scheduled my pre-bridal portraits
for September 29. Now I just have to get hair and makeup appointments
made. We're ordering the invitations next week hopefully so I'll have
half of August and all September to address them. My aunt and I are
already planning the Bridesmaid luncheon (dinner) for the week before
the wedding. I've started a more rigorous workout program so help shed
the existing pounds off. I have about 15 to lose in 4 months. At the
rate I'm going, I should be able to do it. (Keeping fingers crossed)
That's all I have to report as of now. I'm just counting down the weeks
till the wedding!!
