1. Open an image you want to turn into an embossed textured background. Duplicate it (Shift +D) and close the original. Also decide on a color your going to want to mute the image later on. (I am using #FFFFCO.)

2. With your duplicated Image active, go to Effects - Plugins - Flaming Pear - Boss Emboss with these settings:
Height 32
Leave angle alone
Relief 67
Creasing 17
Source 3-channel
Melt 0
Unsparkle unchecked
Glue Overlay

3. Add new layer and flood fill with the color you picked earlier. Again I used #FFFFCO.

4. Lower the opacity on this active layer to 65%. Merge Flatten.

5. Go to Effects - Plugins - Boss Emboss again and use the same settings. That is it! Seamless tile if you desire.
