Today's rap has been going downhill, becoming more and more
swearing and bigheaded punk gangsters. But then, some people like it that
way.
Of the current rappers, Eminem is amoung the best for his unique style. He has the connection to Dr. Dre which gives him credit, but even if he were alone, he would be worth listening to, beating Vanilla Ice easily in the white rappers' category. Then there is Will Smith, one of the most unlikely candidates, going from sitcom star to the big screen to rapper. His sound is unique in its message, and its general cleanness. Spanish rappers are up and coming, and have better rhymes than the others generally, though they aren't heard of in the US. Amoung the best of these are Cyprus Hill, Molotov, and Control Machete.
