This is a monologue originally produced by the Great Canadian Theatre Company in Ottawa as part of an event called «10 x 10», featuring ten women playwrights such as Vivian Laxdall. Its title is «The Awakening of Sycorax». It's based on the character of the witch created by Shakespeare in The Tempest:
