Students will consider the extreme deprivation in Africa by looking at http://www.africare.org/ and http://www.africare.org/news/editorials/10WaysYouCanHelpAfrica.html .

Tuesday

Students will watch the film Pay It Forward (DVD) and generally research compassion to find both definitions of it and different acts via the www.google.com or www.yahoo.com search engines

Wednesday

After completing Pay It Forward, students will take a virtual field trip and visit the following sites:  www.one.org, http://www.payitforwardmovement.com/individuals.html, http://www.geocities.com/cyber_explorer99/hughesthankyou.html, http://www.diaryproject.com/ .
