Playing gigs that ranged from Formaggio's Italian Resteraunt to Marty's and Liquid 360, Drunken Monkey roamed the Greater Birmingham area to play for anyone with an open ear. Credited as being the band that brought live music back to TC's, and playing several private parties in Birmingham, AL, and Atlanta, GA, there basically was no gig that DKMY wouldn't play. The band itself was a three-piece, but was most commonly seen in its two-piece form of Damian and Traber. The two-piece would mainly play open mics at Marty's, Highland Coffee Co, Liquid 360, The Oasis, Innisfree, and Whiskey Tango, but also would play private parties in Atlanta (featuring David Seivers on drums). It was truly a blast while it lasted, but as with all good things.....Traber moved to Seattle, WA, to get a jump start on his life and the band broke up. |

Brink of Reality was predominantly an acoustic duo featuring Damian and Jimmy. Together they played over 80 gigs in the Dallas/Ft Worth area in 2000/01. Also employed with the group was Eliot on percussion, and played several gigs with the group, including all three days of the DeepEllum Arts Festival, 2001. The full band was actually formed with PJ on bass and John on lead guitar, though no paying gigs were actually played in full-band form. |
