Unforgotten: Sanket

So it was that the boy-Khan Sanket Avanindra, who was born to all the privileges of money and royal blood nearly a century after the first of his name reclaimed the honor of the Khan, was raised first in luxury, then in the wilderness.  So it was that Seline came to him on the eve of his fifteenth year and commanded him to go west, and west, and west still further, until he found a place that resonated with his own destiny.

For two years Sanket wandered.  West he went, across Asia Minor, across North Africa and much of Europe, across the Atlantic, across North America, where he changed his name to put an end to the tiresome questions.  West he continued, answering to Lancaster now, and west further until he came upon the Pacific, and paused there at its edge.

It was a five-year hiatus.  In that time, he traveled up and down the Pacific coast, and he’s been artist, criminal, bounty hunter, lover and killer all.  He’s run from the law and he’s served the law; he’s mingled with humans and he’s hunted humans for sport.  Though he has avoided the company of the shifting kind, he’s fought against Asura, danced with Shrouds, stolen tricks from Wizards, and even listened to the weeping of the occasional restless spirit.

Then, one day, he grew tired of it.  Something was not right.  Something did not resonate as it should have.  And so he turned west again – west, across the ocean, to Hawai’i.
