Fresh Life!

Storyline: This story is told from Mary's point of view. It's the sequel to my story, "Outcast". ENJOY! :)

Darkness. It was all I saw when I awoke from a..... well, I can't remember. All I remember is meeting Lestat and him taking me to his limo. Feeeling around the area, I felt a velvet material all around me. At first it felt like I was in a box of some sorts... As that thought then went though my mind I knew where I was. A COFFIN.

Screaming with all my might, I started scratching at the material. It didn't take much for it to rip, and I attacked the wooden lid of the coffin. "Mary," someone said outside in an european accent. Calming down, I stopped and laid there still. Moments later, the lid was removed.

It was Lestat, who seemed to of just fed as I saw the streams of blood still on his face. And we were in a church that was getting ready for a funeral. It seems, if I didn't wake up, that I was going to be buried in that coffin. Thanking myself for waking up, I smile to myself.

Politely, he offered his hand to help me sit up. Of course I took it and as I did sit up, a painful burning sensation hit me in the stomach. "What am I doing here?" I asked him with a puzzled face. With a smirk on his face, it seemed as if he was hiding a sort of surprise for me. "To start a fresh (I stand up to get out of the coffin and Lestat helps me out) life.... (looks me straight in the face with a seductive smile) Isn't that what you want?"

As he had finished saying this, he pulled out a sinlge red rose from his jacket. Giggling was the last thing I thought to myself, would be the last thing I wanted to do, but did anyway.
