January 31, 2003- Rate on AcidPlanet!
If you haven't already done so, please visit AcidPlanet and give my
songs a listen and rate them! 'Run Like Hell' is currently ranked at #7 on the Industrial Rock chart, 'Decension' is
ranked at #10 in the straight Industrial category, and 'Melodramatic' is sitting at #27 in the Electronica/Ambient category. Visit and tell me what you think! You may have to do a
search for 101 Damnations, but it's there.
January 30, 2003- EP near completion
Well, the first EP will be completed within the week, entitled 'Vomit Jesus'. The disc will include
8-10 full tracks, offering up a sample of what 101 Damnations is all about. More information will be
posted as it arises, but you will be able to obtain info on how to get a copy from this website if anyone is
interested.
January 28, 2003- site goes up
I just want to thank all who visit this site for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your stay and
like what you hear. This site may not be fully operational as of yet, which I do apologize for,
but hope you will come back for the finished product.
I just recently started publishing my music on AcidPlanet & MP3.com, but wanted to have a site
that I could design and set up the way I wanted it to look and operate. Please bear with me
until this site is completed.
There isn't much of a goth/industrial scene here in Indy. We recently visited Atlanta and had
the opportunity to go out one night to a club I believe called "The Dungeon". I myself, adore
this style of music, but Brandy despises it, and instead prefers mainly 80's bands such as
Duran Duran, Prince, Madonna, etc. The really nice thing about The Dungeon is the music was
totally goth/industrial, but alot of the tracks that were played were cover songs of bands
that she's into. I personally don't care for the city of Atlanta, much less the rest of Georgia
mind you, but it made me realize even more that there really is a scene for this
music, just not around here. We don't go out much, but not because we don't want to, there just
isn't anywhere to go.
Anyway, most of my tracks were arranged using AcidPro, n-Track studio, WaveLab, CoolEdit pro,
and believe it or not, MTV Music Generator for none other than PS One. This 'program' (because
I don't want to say 'game') is one of the easiest ways to arrange drum loops or other various
midi sounds. Granted, you can't import anything into it, you have to use what's there, but it's
really easy to save what you have and then just record it in to Acid and edit the hell out of it,
add samples, effects, distortions, loops, etc. What I lack in talent I make up for in imagination.
