Some music could fit into any category. Either it is a crossover hybrid or perhaps a twist on an old classic. The original music of Darlyne Cain defies any sort of classification and stands on it's own as a style that will appeal to many ears.

Darlyne's stirring lyrics and heartfelt delivery leaves you with something that can have you crying in your beer on one song then tapping your toes and bouncing in your seat the next.

In a time when so much of the music that is entering the mainstream sounds like yesterday's big hit, it's refreshing to hear a new sound which is entertaining, thought provoking and fresh.

"Simply put, its one of the most refreshing cds I've heard and felt in a while. In an age of over-produced music, I'm relieved to hear music and lyrics that let you do just that... I tip my hat to Ms. Cain, musicians, producers (John Prestia) and engineers that make me wanna hit the repeat button!"
Boots J. Hill, Windows on the Cumberland, Nashville

Also, she played her original music as a finalist in the Appalachian String Band Festival in Clifftop, W.VA and performed in the Nashville Entertainment Association Extravaganza '99.

After releasing her first CD, touring Japan and producing a second CD, Darlyne is currently living and working in Asheville, North Carolina. She has spent time in 2001 and 2002 in Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest, bringing her music to an ever widening and appreciative audience. .

"The lyrics are extremely soulful, introspective and powerful. I think the sound is more a cross between Carole King and Dar Williams with the uniqueness of Darlyne Cain."
Jen Perciballi, Music Review, NYC
