| Travis Hicks - SECOND-RATE TRADER | ||||
| Here is a rundown of the trade: 1. I sent an email in early April requesting Queensryche and Guns N Roses bootlegs. 2. He reponded requesting Rush and Pink Floyd. 3. I mailed his bootlegs out on April 21, 2004. 4. I mailed about 10 days later to ask if the bootlegs had arrived and they had not. 5. On May 19 he updated his site indicating that new shows from Rush and Pink Floyd were in. 6. Finally, after a few emails, and 14 days of not answering, on May 21st he wrote: "Sorry man, I just moved and was without internet for a few weeks. They were sent out last Friday, they should arrive soon. Sorry for the delay." 7. His last email to me was on May 31 in which he wrote: "Sorry, Our post has been quite unreliable lately, labour issues and all plus border problems. You're not the first one i've had problems getting stuff to lately." 8. As of June 9 I have not received the bootlegs nor have I received any indication that he has sent anything at all. I am tired of waiting, as it has been over a month and a half now. Mr. Hicks, if you have time to update your website, you have enough time to send me an email. It's common courtesy to stay in touch throughout a trade. LESSON LEARNED: Never trust a guy who says on his website, "...rest asured I WON'T BURN YOU." 9. UPDATE! On June 28, 2004 I received a package that was postmarked June 22, 2004. Yes, it contained the bootlegs. Better late then never, but the guy still lied about having sent them the second time. Am I to believe that two packages were lost? Anyway, I got the bootlegs after 2 months and I am happy about that, but I will not trade with him ever again. |
