Flawed Bootlegs
This originally contained a list of all the imperfect bootlegs that people have sent me.  I took them off because I am now the proud owner of about 6 times the number shows I used to have here.  I now have no desire to keep posting the mp3/error-ridden crap I own.

My hearing is sensitive and I can easily pick up on noises and discontinuities between tracks.  They annoy me and it is my opinion that they lower the quality of the show.  I realize that not every person feels the same way, and to a degree, I understand it when I get this stuff in trade.  Hopefully I will have a way to fix these imperfections soon.  Until then, I am going to ask you not to send me shows with clicks/ticks/gaps/pops/crackles and other annoying sounds between tracks.

If we are trading, and you do not know the condition of a particular show that I want, please skim through the ends/beginnings of each track to make sure that the transitions are smooth and continuous.  It takes less than 2 minutes to do this.  I'll show you how:
Put the CD in your CD player>skip to track 2>rewind it 5 seconds>listen as it transitions from track 1 to track 2>repeat the process for each track.  If there's a pop, click, tick, crackle, noise, or discontinuity of any kind, then it is likely I will not want the show, at least until I get a program to fix these errors.

I mean absolutely no offense to any of my good trading buddies who have sent me these either on accident or because our standards are different.

Here are a few websites that explain why mp3 is NOT an acceptable trading format, and how to detect mp3-sourced shows:
