www.hillrunner.com - Ryan Hill, a post-collegiate runner from Wisconsin, has lots of good stuff on his site, including his training log, links to other running sites, and forums for discussion. Kind of like this page but with more to see. And he's a better runner than I am. He promised a link to this page from his site and I'm still waiting for it.

www.joelemay.com- Joe Lemay is an Olympic Marathon 'A' Standard qualifier who didn't get to go to the Olympics (if you don't know what this means, you definitely need to visit his site). Of course, his training log is posted as well as some thoughts, links, and pictures of his pig. His professional career is winding down and he says he'll be retiring after this year's New York City Marathon. We'll see.

Doug Cross' Home Page- Doug Cross's home page. Doug has to his credit a 31:17 10k,a 49:03 15k, a 1:10 half-marathon, a 2:34 marathon, and recently a 1:04 20k good for 17th at the US Championships in New Haven, CT. He also posts his training log (which should be no surprise since I have his site linked), some pictures of his new son, and an inexplicable and unexplained shot of himself double-fisting large zucchini. If you're curious about the weather in NJ (and who isn't, I ask you??) go here.

www.letsrun.com - My first stop almost every day. Twin brothers, both national class runners, lots of updates on the world of running for fetishists like myself. The drawback? Alas, no training logs! Nonetheless, a worthwhile stop.

Scott Douglas' Home Page- the wry musings of Scott Douglas, a decent runner himself, former editor of Running Times magazine. He gets the nod for posting some of his former training logs as evidence that high mileage - gasp! - might help you run faster. He also has extra-running interests which may coincide with your own. If not, you might just find him weird. If you are playing 6 degrees of Joe Lemay with your friends, here's a link for you. Warning: Penguins need not visit. Antarctic bird carnage everywhere.

http://people.ne.mediaone.net/bobhodge/index.html- Bob Hodge's home page. "Who?" You ask. Well, shame, shame, shame, on you for not knowing every American sub-2:12 marathoner to grace the roads in the late seventies and early eighties. He's posting years of his heyday training to make all of us little people feel littler. Lots of biographical material from his 'grasshopper' days in the 70's. Set aside some time before you visit, there's a lot here.

Craig 's Running - Craig's site contains the requisite training log, some links and other stuff. Craig is, like Doug Cross, reaping the benefits of a 30-something running renaissance and continues to improve right before your eyes.

Josh Cox's Page- National class American runner participating in Fila's Discovery USA Camp coached by Dr. Rosa. Had a top 20 placing at the 2001 Boston Marathon and ran in the upper 2:13's at Chicago in 2000. Site features include his training log, photos, and other stuff. He has been called "the Brad Pitt" of American distance running. Feint hearted young women, beware.

Jeff Day's Home Page- Ran 2:34 and change at Boston 2001. I haven't really examined the site too thoroughly but it's got his training log and some the ever-present other stuff.

Merv's Running - A forum for runners who care about improving. Many helpful members willing to answer your training questions. An everyday stop for me. Much gentler and more mature than Let's Run's forum.

More sites to come once I deem them worthy of an upgrade to 'worthwhile.'

I like it here much better...
