Powerful Music
I've always been a democrat. I was raised in a democratic house, though it wasn't dinner table talk. It was loud arguments in the late hours of the weekend nights that would abruptly wake me from a deep sleep. Startling me to the point where my heart was pounding as the yelling and screaming got louder and nastier by the moment. I was a child of 8 or 10 years old when i remember dreading the weekend nights for this reason. And it didn't end when i moved out at age 18...

My parent's friends were republicans. All of them. How they remained friends after 50 years of weekend arguments is still to my amazement, but there was no sleep to be had in our house when those friends came over on Friday and Saturday nights. These arguments remained right up until both my parent's deaths.

I'm not a devout democrat, there's much i still don't understand in the politcal world, but what i do understand is how i feel about certain things and why. Many of my favorite artists write about such things and their lyrics can stand alone, but accompianed by music makes their statements so powerful, it's the best way to describe what it is i would like to say.  Instead, i post and continue to post those artist's art that move me.

Ugly Man (Song Title)
He's an ugly man, he always was an ugly man
He grew up to be like his father, an ugly man
And he'll tell you lies
He'll look at you and tell you lies
He grew up to be like his father
Ugly inside
Hey - ugly man what's the plan?
If people knew what would they do to the ugly man?
Having fun?
But will we be here when you're done with me?
Revolution
Now it's finally going to come
Everywhere that you're not looking
Revolution
And we'll take it back
Now we take the country back
Everywhere that you're not looking
Ugly man
Ugly man
Ugly man
Duty calls the faithful few
The infidel must pay his due
For your family we will provide
And will fill them with empty pride
And for you many virgins wait
Say your prayers, accept your fate

Liar
And with every lying breath
You send them to their death

We need not the authority
Of some God of morality
Nor the aid of  some skeptic land
Who puts truth before our demands
And to those who defy our law
We will bring them our shock and awe

Liar
And you send them to their death
With your every lying breath
