Damian Perkins is an actor best known for starring as Mereb, a role he originated in Elton John & Tim Rice's Tony AwardTM Winning AIDA on Broadway. He is also a renowned painter who has sold hundreds of originals & prints appearing in private collections throughout the United States and Japan.

Prior to AIDA, Damian starred in over 375 performances as Benny in the highly acclaimed cross-Canadian tour of RENT. RENT, "the breakthrough musical for the nineties" written by the late Jonathan Larson, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and swept the 1996 Tony Awards (including Best Score, Best Book, Best Musical). The tour was nominated for 8 DORA Awards (Canadian equivalent to a TONY award).

Damian's regional theatre credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream -- "Puck" (Shakespeare Festival / L.A.); Oliver! -- "Fagin" (Delphian Amphitheatre / L.A.); H.M.S. Pinafore -- "Dick Dead Eye" (Lanterman Theatre); West Side Story -- "Bernardo" (Garden Pavilion); Grease (L.A.); Big River (L.A.); Cats (L.A.); and A Chorus Line (L.A.), to name a few amongst 30 other productions.

Damian's success does not end with musical theatre. He has guest-starred on many popular television shows including most recently, CBS's CSI: Miami as Damon Wyatt. He has appeared on NBC's Providence; The WB's Charmed (Joe Lyons); The Sentinel (Charlie); The Net (Gangi); Family Matters (David Phillips, Jr.); Then Came You; and Grill Me (Pilot Episode). He also performed on The Rosie O'Donnell Show & The Today Show with the cast of Aida. Damian has been featured in the following films: There Goes My Baby; Sandcastles; Angela's Story; Dear Daddy; Manchester; Stereotyping; & Trust, Honesty. He's shot over 25 commercials for Ford, McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Arizona Jeans, JC Penny, KFC, Pringles and Motorola to name a few, and modeled for Levi's and Doc Martin shoes.

In May 2004 Damian received high critical acclaim for his starring role in the Los Angeles production of Tease.

Damian has recently landed lead roles in two feature films which will begin shooting in early 2005 and is also working on an album with music producer Seth Shomes.

Damian Perkins is featured on the Grammy AwardTM Winning Original Broadway Cast Recording (Buena Vista Records). He performed the role of Mereb in Chicago at the Cadillac Palace Theatre prior to the show's Broadway debut, and wowed audiences in over 850 performances at The Palace Theatre in New York.
