Damfest 2000
This first two pictures are of random people having a good time at Damfest 2000. I took these shots, and most of the others on this page (I'll be sure to credit any other photographers).

This is a light pole being backlit by the setting sun. Notice some moron broke this priceless (and hard to find) globe, thus ruining the greatness we're all trying to bring back to the dam.

 

Damfest 2001
Next is the invitation sent out for Damfest 2001 Notice the visage of Cedar Falls Mayor Jon Crews, floating down towards the rapids, heading for trouble.

 

This is the 8.5x14 poster placed strategically around the city for better turnout, produced by Cam Carlson.

These pictures are of the general crowd at Damfest 2001, enjoying the great weather, great company and great scenery.

There's always plenty to eat and drink at Damfest, as you can see. Of course, we rely on the kind patrons to make the smallest of donations, so we can stay afloat in these troubling economic times.

Here's some folks playing a game of hackey-sack, amongst other entertainment provided. We've got music (even live music) and other things for the bored and restless.

A great shot of two of Damfest's loyal patrons. I believe they're bringing a picture up from the river after being washed clean, which is a requirement for Cory's old camera and various thingamajigs.

There's always plenty of free parking, and close to the action!

Here's Ty Graham, local firefighter and kayaking afficiando, enjoying some brew with Cory and Micah. Girl on left unidentifiable; please come forward and claim yourself!

Ah, an annual rite of passage for all those in attendance; the photo op on the dam! We try our best to get a good shot, and out of the three I took last year this one was the best. This picture was taken around 7:30 to 8 PM, and dozens of people showed up after that, so this is only a third or so of the total turnout. Imagine if we could've gotten all in attendance on the dam...

And these are the "folks" who wouldn't get on the dam. Shame on them! Yes, I'm talking about Micah, Steph, Andrea, Bill, Amanda, Harris, Carrie, and various others.

Lo and behold, Damfest has a night life! I think last year wrapped up between 10-11 PM, and the year before around midnight. Who knows how long it'll go this year?! Near the left you can see Neekesh walking towards the photographer (me), leaving in disgust of the lack of tofuburgers.
