Every website needs a links page doesn't it? Well this one does as there are some wonderful places for women to go on the web...and they don't all include shopping. I have tried to catoagorize them to a certain extent so you might want to scroll down to see what all I have.

Please note that I do not endores any one of these websites. They are only sites that I have found or that have been forwarded to me.

The first link is, of course, to the main page of the Red Hat Society. This site naturally tells all about the RHS, how it came into being, and any other newsworthy items they may think of. Don't forget to check out their store for some items you may purchase. You can also connect with Red Hatters from other areas of the world either by the forums or the chat. Check out some of the other chapters websites to see what they are doing as well

There are many places in which you can purchse Red Hats and oh so many other fun items. Some of these sites are certainly better than others but I'll leave that up to you to determine for yourself. Also on some of these sites you will need to explore a bit to find the Red Hat stuff. Enjoy!

  • San Francisco Hat Company actually has a page just of red hats!
  • Check out the hats at WineLady.
  • Hatmonger also has a special section for red hats.
  • Red Hat Lady has some fun red hats too.
  • And yet another red hat shopping site is appropriately named the Red Hat Shop.
  • Now I know we all wear hats but where do we keep them? Check out Hatholders for some great ideas. A couple of other places to check out would be:
  • Uniqueiron
  • Hatsny.
  • For another very good selection of red hats check out Hats.com

Here are more ideas on places to shop online

  • The Hat Site.
  • Astex Hats
  • Broadwater Jewelry
  • Fashion Jewelry Corporation
  • GreatLookz
  • Knotty but Nice
  • Elizabeth Lucas Designs
  • Judith M
  • Josh Clay
  • Red Hat Collection
  • Netopia
  • AWNOL
  • Herbsrainbear
  • Shushans
  • This one is actually a Red Hat Chapter in Hawaii that has put up a website.

I know there are many, many more places in which to purchase red hats. In fact just try doing a search in your favorite search engine for "hats" or "red hats" and see what all comes up. So many of the hat shops now have special sections set aside just for red hats. There are some truly wonderful, beautiful, fun and funky hats out there. And don't forget the jewelry, pins, earrings, fans, clothing and other miscellaneous items.

I know several of you travel quite a bit. So I wondered about travel sites that catered to just women and also sites that catered to the so-called "older" women. And I actually came up with some interesting ones.

  • One place I actually heard about on TV is Menopausal Tours. Now if you can't figure out what type of business this is, well I just don't know what we will do with you. Actually I do believe one of our members has taken a tour with this group and I understand it was wonderful!
  • This sight is probably not for everyone but I'm sure there are a few of us out there that like a little bit of adventure. If so you might want to check out Girls Adventure Out.

And here are a few more:

  • GORP Travel
  • Adventure Women
  • Elder Hostel
  • Elder Treks
  • Journey Women
  • Senior Summer School
  • Women's Travel Club
  • Transitions Abroad
  • Women Traveling Together
  • Women Only Retreats
  • One of my all time favorite sites that has actually been around for quite a while is the Baby Boomer Headquarters. Quite a fun site...be sure to take the various tests they have! Be prepared to spend some time here!
  • Now this one is just plain fun and I'm sure many, if not most, of you can relate to at least a couple of the items on here. Check out Things my My Mom Taught Me.
  • While age related this looks as thought it could also be a fun place. Check out Suddenly Senior. Again it looks as though there might be quite a bit to explore on this site.
  • And I suppose one cannot forget AARP while in this catagory

Not all Red Hat chapters have websites. And some that do are not kept up (believe me when I tell you it is a job!). But many have some wonderful event ideas and links to other intersting sites.

Californis Chapters with websites in no particular order are:

  • Fresno
  • Sonora
  • Long Beach
  • Bakersfield
  • Sacramento
  • Lafayette
  • Palm Springs
  • Windsor
  • San Diego
  • Santee
  • San Francisco
  • Manteca

The Baltimore Red Hat "Hons" have a really fun website. Be sure to check out both the "sayings" page and the their links page. Both are quite exceptional!

I am always searching for new websites that might be of interest to women of our age or mentality (ok, those of us that like to have fun!). Please, if you run across a website that you think others in this goup might enjoy pass it on to me so that it can be included on this list.
