Youth & Wisdom

Now don't let this little kid fool you. He is the like the reed, which bends not breaks. Hida Iori, who is wise beyond his years due to the fact he was forced to grow up a little too fast when his father was killed.

Iori-kun always had the repose of, well, a grandfather. The last person to boast about his skills (whether it be kendo or his studies), and he'll always lend you a helping hand. I had first met Iori when my family moved into our tenament block, he immediately stood out on the courtyard where all the other kids were playing. Instead of joining in on jumping rope, hopscotch, the Yu-Gi-Oh card games, or just playing with a Game Boy or Game Gear, there stood Iori, dressed in his immaculate kendo gi and haukama doing practice excersises with a bokken. The other kids ignored or made fun of him, I thought he was cool and went up to talk to him! Rather unwilling to open up at first, he began to trust me when he figured out I wasn't brushed off so easily and that I'll never leave him. I surrogate older sister I was, and he my loyal guardian. I remember how he used to frown in such a way like an old old man when Ken, Takeru, or Daisuke used to flirt with me too much back in school.

Not to mention how long it took to get him to trust Ken. I don't know what was worse, when you got married or got divorced?

I wouldn't be so quick to judge, Yamato. Considering you are the one on his watchlist now. Hida Iori: Bearer of The Digimentals of Jishin and Seijitsu. I think those should come in hand when in the courtroom. Oh and Iori try to talk Armadimon out of selling rides to the little kids when he evolves to Ankylomon?
