The Original Broadwater Hotel, Biloxi

Lobby of the Broadwater looking west, wall gone, littered with debris.

Ruins of the condominium/apartments just west of the Broadwater building, April 2006.

In September 2006, demolition of the Broadwater has already begun. As seen here mid-month, most of the main building still remains.

(Remains of the gambling barge are in the foreground)

The Tivoli Hotel, September 2005, one week after the storm.

Looking west towards bar/club from main lobby. Storm surge dissolved solid walls to piles of individual bricks.

Original swimming pool of the Tivoli. The Biloxi Yacht Club building adjacent to it was completely leveled.
View looks East towards one of the beached casino barges, October 2005.

Extent of the damage at the extreme rear of the building demonstrates the strength of the storm surge.

Back of the Tivoli Hotel. The truck was parked by the loading dock before the storm for protection, to no avail.
Visible on the right is the barge from the Grand Casino.

Main mezzanine on the second floor with mattresses, recalling the horrifying story of the survivors who swam the storm surge to ride out the rest of Katrina here.

Inside the Tivoli Hotel, fourth floor by the corner wrecked by the barge, looking south-southeast over US 90 and the Biloxi Sound.

Remains of the Tivoli during demolition, May 2006.
